It seems like a usual pattern that we can observe in the media and in papers.
personally from my observation I can confirm that in my old school which was in the ghetto, there was a full class of preganant teenage women and a school sponsored support program.
I moved to a more "classy" neighborhood, and there was virutally zero cases like this, and unheard of.
So are ppl so poor they cannot afford condoms ? IUD ?
It seems IQ has a lot to do with pregnancy rates. Usually poorer neighborhood scores lower IQs.
I don’t think poor peoplpe have lower iqs, thats as daft as saying white people have higher iqs that chinese people…i think its just education…
Some poorer peoplpe can’t afford to stay on at school, or go to uni, they have to get a job.
Everyones having sex, its just middle class people dont takl about it…and can afford go do something about it if they fall preganant they have abortions, noone needs to know..and i know loads of folk that have done this…and mummy and daddy know nothing about it.
IQ has nothing to do with it at all…the only reason they score lower is that thy cant go to uni..

It is the environment, it causes depression. People learn what they live and only a handful will be strong enough to break the chain. Poverty breeds poverty.
The "classy" neighborhoods as you refer to them are far from perfect. They are more likely to get abortions because they worry what people will say. It is all about appearance.
You asked a good question and the truth is there are many reasons. It is a very complicated issue

Think about some of the social institutions in our country.
Family
Education
Medical
Economic
All of these are weak for poorer people. Teen pregnancy is a result of this.

Lack of parental support and guidance. Kids that usually grow up in these neighbourhoods have (not always) parents that demonstrate a different lifestyle than that of parents in better suburbs, eg drinking, drugs, violence, sex. These kids are therefore being brought up with these types of situations occurring, thus combined with little care, support and education there are more teenage pregnancies. The pill is also not readily available to these girls either, so contraception effectiveness is not always efficient. But ofcourse this is not the case with ALL the families and people living in poorer suburbs.

boredom is part of the problem and being poor means you have less access to society’s things. Because they’re poor does not mean they are the ones to be blame for teenage pregnancy. Society as a whole should be blame for that, and that means you and I and the rest of the world.

Every teenage would like to explore and enjoy being a teenage. However, whiles there are several entertainment packages for directing these tendencies among the rich, the poor have none or less, making them reosrt to active sexual life as form of entertainment.

what you will probably find is that rates of abortion are higher in your more "classy" suburbs.
Generally there is a link between female education levels and number of children. The observation of higher rates of birth in poorer teenagers is probably a reflection of this.
Theres no IQ magic here. There are a variety of reasons why there are lower levels of education attainment in poorer areas. But once you do have low levels of education, you can expect higher births. Its just a matter of more potential opportunity from higher education. Girls lucky enough to finish an MBA are likely to have good corporate careers and hence there is a high cost to early pregrency or even marriage.
Contrast with teenager girls who don’t even expect to finish high-school, The relative cost of pregrency is much lower.
But both poor and rich women will still have a natural urge to pro-create.
