im 17 and i was 16 when i gave birth heres just a vid i made of pictures of when i was pregnant right throught to just this week =D and also i dont care what anyone has to say i love being a mum .. hes not an accident im against abortions n i wouldnt change anything .. being a mum is the greatest thing you can achieve in your life .. and i havent ruined my life .. what would i miss out on partying n drinking?? haha now thats a mistake .. partying and drinking …

My teacher told me that back in the fifties teenage pregnancies were much higher than they are today but it was hidden and backstreet abortions killed the young girls.

She also said STD rates were much worse all because of the stigma attached to sex back then no girl had any treatments or clinics.

So if the fifties were supposed to be all innocent and wholesome why were problems much worse back then?

1. No hormonal birth control.
2. Condoms weren’t widely available and had to be requested at the counter.
3. The main birth control methods were diaphragms and condoms — neither of which were extremely reliable (quality wasn’t as good back then) or very accessible to young people.

So most sex was unprotected, and pregnancy was quite likely.

(There were certainly many illegal abortions. There were all girls who were sent to ‘maternity homes’ and gave their babies up for adoption. And girls who had, and kept, their babies.)

There WERE treatments for STIs… if the girl sought them out. Antibiotics were available.

I am taking an ethics class for which i must make a power point on teenage pregnancy. For a few slides I must talk about teenage " parents" who aborted there child. i need to know

1. did they regret it at the time?
2. do they regret it now?
3. what would they have done differently if anything?
4. why did they choose to abort?
5. were both "parents" in agreement?

Why don’t you try creating a poll, or googling statistics. Read some of the stories on im not sorry. net (no spaces) some of them are from teenagers.

i doing a debate on teenage pregnancy. i’m not against it. so i need some strong points as to, the advantages of a teen becoming pregnant.

It could make the teen more responsible, more dedicated to finishing school, getting a job & being self-dependant. (that’s not always the case though)

Can you please give me sites, discussions, articles and such where it mainly talks about teenage pregnancy in the US.
