VenomFangX and the Burden of Responsibility (Part 1 of 2)

This is a further response to Geerup’s videos on Ectopic Pregnancies, on the VenomFangX channel. This first episode relays a presentation on Ectopic Pregnancies on behalf of a US physician who considers himself at too much risk from reprisals to post it for himself.

VenomFangX and the Aborted Argument

This is a response to Geerup’s video on the VenomFangX channel, “Answering the Question of Ectopic Pregnancies”:

In that video Geerup states that he is addressing DPRJones’s question regarding the Catholic position on abortion in the case of dangerous ectopic pregnancies. He cites an MSNBC article which reports the extremely rare carriage to term of an ectopic pregnancy. He then states that on the basis of this event, women with ectopic pregnancies should “take the high road” and wait out their medical situation to see what happens. However, he fails to address the issue entirely since he does not make any statement as to the moral position such a woman would face in the event that her medical circumstances force the hand of her obstetric medical professional and an abortion becomes necessary.

Since that outcome is highly likely in the case of any ectopic pregnancy which does not self-miscarry, he has therefore failed to answer the question.

Ectopic pregnancies are incredibly dangerous and should not be “sat out” without - at bare minimum - medical advice. Get a second opinion from another trained medical professional; not from an irresponsible internet proselytiser with a stated religious mandate.
